Operation and Regulations of PRM Spaces

Holders of a parking card for persons with reduced mobility (PRM) have special conditions for parking in the city.

Reserved Areas

• Vehicles transporting persons with a PRM card may use the parking spaces reserved and designated for this purpose.
• The card must be placed in a visible spot at the front of the vehicle.
• The maximum stay in these spaces is 48 consecutive hours.

Regulated Parking (ORA)

In regulated parking areas, persons with a PRM card:

• Have no time limit.
• Do not have to pay any fee, as provided in the Fiscal Ordinance.

If No PRM Space Is Available

Exceptionally, and with authorization from the Local Police, stopping in other places near the destination will be permitted, always seeking not to hinder traffic.

Space Reservation System

Spaces reserved for PRM have sensors that detect in real time if they are occupied.

If you are a PRM card holder, you may park in these spaces as long as you display the accreditation card visibly and register your parking in the PMR Oviedo app indicating the space. The system verifies compliance with the rules and, if the stop is not declared or the permitted time is exceeded, a supervisor is notified for verification.

When you leave, the space is automatically released and the information is managed electronically to improve availability and proper use of these spaces.

Three-step scheme:

1. Park and display your PRM card.
2. Register your parking in PMR Oviedo.
3. End unloading and vacate the space: when leaving, you can close the ticket by pressing “End ticket” on the main screen.
